Emilie is an amazing artist for many reasons, one of them is that her music can be listened to in the background with little attention paid to the lyrics, or you can listen to it and really think. It makes you explore new horizons of thought and see things from a different angel. Her music isn't the only place you can see her personality though, she comes out with the strangest things in interviews and everyday life that go down in muffin history. I'm going to list my top twenty below, these are just my opinion, but if it's from EA, you can guarantee it will be great.

The Asylum Army
We are the Asylum Army. We are the loyal supporters of our dear Emilie Autumn. We are those inmates of the Asylum who live there always. We are those inmates who don't get out, who don't want to.
The Asylum Army is made up of dedicated Plague Rat's like myself who support EA, where ever she goes, what ever she woes, no matter what. The Asylum Army is out home, is our safe place, and we never leave it. Even when were not online or at a concert, were in the Asylum in our heads, and no one can touch us there. The Asylum Army is made up of different alliances, two alliances and four armies. Each Army is headed by a bloody Crumpet. I'm a member of the Veteran Crumpet Alliance which consists of Veronica's Kissing Army
, or the VKA, and Aprella's Destructive Dolls, ADD. There is also the Freshly Backed Alliance which consists of Maggots Pirate Crew and Contessa's Cannibal Tribe.

The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls
Emilie Autumn is an extraordinary person with a very unique story to tell. She does this through her music, her appearance, her manner, but she also has an autobiography, although it is slightly different from most you will read. Her published book is called 'The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls', but is commonly referred to as the 'Asylum...' book, or AWVG. It is massive and is quite expensive at £52 pounds, or $75 dollars, not including postage and packaging. It weighs almost 5 pounds and there is not a page that is solid writing. I may be speaking as if I have personal experience of this extraordinary book, but I have in fact never seen more than the front page in person. I'm still saving up for the third edition. So if this book is so awesome, why haven't you heard about it, well because it's slightly graphic, only for the brave of heart so I've heard. It also has an age rating of 18, but it's the Internet, all you have to do is click a box. Want to see a picture, click here, or look below for a smaller one.

The Bloody Crumpets
So we all know that EA performs on stage playing her harpsichord and electronic violin, we know that she has an amazing voice, and that her fashion sence and how she portrays herself tells a different story through every item. But EA does not perform alone, she has four other beautiful ladies that accompany her wherever she goes. These highly talented ladies are called the Bloody Crumpets or the BC. As of her last tour the Bloody Crumpets are:
Veronica is also a model, can you tell? An actress, and a burlesque dancer. She is not in fact a prostitute, whatever people say, burlesque is sexy dancing, which involves removing cloths, but it can often be as little as a glove and I have never seen her actually strip. She is known as 'The Naughty Veronica' as she frequently makes out with girls on stage, including other crumpets and Emilie herself. If anyone is interested they should click here to see her playing the infamous 'Rat Game', trust me, its awesome.
The Lady Aprella
Aprella is the oldest Crumpet still performing. She was with Emilie at the start of the Opheliac era back in 2007 and although she is unable to perform in the next American tour, she was in the Mexican one just a few months ago and has by no means left the Crumpets. She is also a model and actress, and like Veronica she does burlesque dancing, although she is less well known for it.
Captain Maggots
Maggot is perhaps the maddest of the crumpets, or at least she gives that impression. What she does outside of the Crumpets is not known very well, but what she does as a Crumpet, well lets just say it involves fire, click here to see her tricks. This is one of my life ambitions, but Its never going to happen because I have awful coordination.
The Blessed Contessa
Contessa also fire dances and can even be seen eating it, yes you heard me right, eating fire live on stage. She also performs amazing aerial displays at the end of one song (306) hanging from pieces of cloth, click here for a quick view at the end of the song.
And that's it, the four current Bloody Crumpets, they are almost as amazing and wonderful as EA and her shows could not be anywhere near as great without them. So now what, I bet you want to know how to be a Crumpet, well that is no secret you see, Crumpets aren't made, there born, and if you want to audition, then that rules you out automatically. You only become a Crumpet, when the Asylum is all you have left.

Is she just a Musician then?
So you now know that EA doesn't just sing, but that can also play several musical instruments too. However, this is not all EA can do. First and foremost yes she is a musician, but along with that she is also an entertainer. Not only through what she says and how she acts, but how she looks. EA has one of the most distinct forms of fashion you will ever find. Why? Because almost everything she wears is custom made, mostly by herself. She even has a sewing room in her house. You can buy her own designs on a website called Willowtech house but its not running last I heard and its ridiculously expensive. I don't dress like EA, I would if I could don't get me wrong but you cant live an ordinary life in clothes like that and believe me, EA is so lucky to get to do what she does. I put a spin on her style, and some days I actually dress like a normal person. Emilie's look is as hard to describe as her music (which I know you loved by the way) so yeah, you guessed it, its PICTURE TIME.
This corset is legendary, not only because its on her latest album Opheliac, but because she wears it to a lot of her concerts.
This dress is also pretty famous in muffin territory because well, you can see why. You really need a bigger picture to see just how cool it is so click here if you want.

And that's about it, only one thing left to mention and Emilie's look is down, that is of course, the hair. Now her sense of style has not changed in years, and her beauty is eternal (I honestly think she will be hot when she's 90) but her hair, that is what many strive to achieve. She never dyes it the same colour twice as far as I can tell, but its always been red, pink, or somewhere in between the two.
So who is Emilie Autumn?
So you know what this site it about, and you know what its intent is, but who exactly is this woman? Emilie Autumn is a singer, composer, writer and many more things included. Although it is pretty much impossible to find a genure that her music fits into, she made one up herself. It is called one of two things by her muffins, either violinindustrial or victorianindustrial. Personaly I prefre Victorianindustrial, but only really because thats thats what I heard it called first. It's actually pretty hard to explain Emilie's sound, but clicking on the links below should give you an idea.

Plague Spreading
Well hello there privileged reader, welcome to my new blog dedicated to inspiring love and acceptance of my beloved leader, Emilie Autumn. To those of you who already recognise this woman's name or picture (look around) you may also recognis the term 'Spreading the Plague.' The Plague is the disease which I and many other muffins carry that feeds our love of the wonderful EA, so whether you wish to call us Muffins, Plague Rats, listeners, members of the Asylum Army, or just fans of EA, continue reading and I can guarantee you will become one yourself. Because you see, no one survives the Plague unchanged.
